Hi xoben,I have a few suggestions: 1. Commandline parameter for isocmd: -rw. This would enable an .iso or .isz image to be mounted as writable whose contents could be altered from explorer etc. This would be an excellent option if one desired to have a persistent .isz encrypted image mounted on which, say, an email profile resides. .isz image is preferable to TrueCrypt images etc as the image is a) compressed; and b) does not take up unnecessay space (I realise there is the possible use of sparse images, but even here the image can grow to maximim capacity but have considerable "free" space in the actual image). 2. Change menu item "Mount to Virtual Drive..." to something like "Mount/unmount Virtual Drive..." since images can be unmounted here also. 3. Add an additional shell contect menu item along side the current "Mount to drive [letter]" of something like "Mount to drive [letter] and explore". This would mount the image and the default file manager would open to the drive. 4. Add the export option "Ctrl+Alt+E" somewhere into the gui, perhaps adding an option in "Configurations..." where one can specify to use a configuration file. Thanks for your time and consideration. I value this product very much! Regards, Galapo. Posted by xoben on Mar. 08 2008,09:15
Thank you Galapo for your nice suggestions. PS: The first one is very difficult to realize because ISO's/ISZ's are designed initially for read-only situations. Posted by Galapo on Mar. 08 2008,22:20
Hi xoben,Yep, they're just suggestions, so whether anything is implemented is up to you and I demand nothing. I realise the first one is quite difficult. It would be a totally unique and innovative feature of UltraISO if it were able to be done. Regards, Galapo. |
