Forum: UltraISO Topic: Using Built In Burning Engine of UltraISO started by: jsp21c Posted by jsp21c on Jun. 27 2006,08:34
Hi, I've been using UltraISO since version 7.5.1 and I'm pleased to see the recent inclusion of a built in Burning Engine which I'd like to try out, however I currently have Alcohol 120% set as the default engine for UltraISO 8.1.2.1625 and can't see how to set UISO to use its own burning engine.I have seen UltraBurn mentioned somewhere in the help files, but can't find it in the UISO program folder. Thanks for your help. Posted by xoben on Jun. 27 2006,09:36
Please clear the 'Default burning software' field to active UltraBurn.

Thanks xoben, that worked a treat.

After upgrading to the latest UltraISO (8.2.0 build 1665) I also wanted to try out the new UltraBurn engine.I deleted the 'Default burning software' field as explained above, but that just makes UltraISO detect my Nero 6.6.1.4 API instead. Is there any way I can force UltraISO to use the built-in UltraBurn engine, even though Nero is installed? Thanks! Posted by xoben on Jul. 28 2006,02:44
Yes, please patch the REG file in attached ZIP, then UltraISO will bypass NeroAPI automatically.

So how is the UltraISO burning engine? I figure enough time has passed, and some heavier users have had a chance to get acquainted with it. Any thoughts?

Would it be possible to bypass the Nero API with a setting in an .ini? I'm using UltraISO from my USB drive and don't want to mess with the registry (sometimes don't have the ability to do so).

(CypherBit @ Dec. 29 2006,12:42) QUOTE Would it be possible to bypass the Nero API with a setting in an .ini? I'm using UltraISO from my USB drive and don't want to mess with the registry (sometimes don't have the ability to do so). Sorry, no option in .INI file is available yet. A new option may be added at next release of UltraISO. UltraISO 8.61 has a new option in uikey.ini: ====================== UltraBurn='1' - Use build-in burning engine or UltraBurn='0' - Use NeroAPI is available ====================== Posted by bovirus on Jan. 13 2007,11:15
For all users. Also if the burning extrernal program box it's empty UI should be select automatically (as in my configuration) the Nero API engine. Please check when you selectct "Create CD/DVD from image" in the windows if a message "Nero Burning engine selected" or something like that. I suggest to all to download and apply the .reg file in the post to apply the default settings for UI internal burning engine. Now after I applied the .reg UI use the internal burning engine. QUOTE I have been trying to burn an iso with command line method but the parameter below only make the UltraBurn window popup & won't automatically start the burning process. This is normal. At present, 'Burn' button must be clicked manually. This feature will be improved at next release of UltraISO. Posted by beiley on Dec. 07 2007,23:04
I'd like to second this request for a command line option to skip the GUI when burning. That would be helpful for automating the burning process. Thanks, Mark < Beiley Software > Posted by koawmfot on Mar. 12 2008,08:53
i have been using the built in egine with out issue until i upgraded to version 9 (i never used a previous version with my current hardware...). at the same time i upgraded my entire system to vista sp1 x64. my new burner is a samsung h653b, on a sata connection (< http://www.videohelp.com/dvdwriters/samsung-sh-s203b-ts-h653b/2089 >. i have no other burning software installed.when i try to burn a cd, it is giving me "error setting write mode page". i have tried both track at once and disk at once. the same thing happens when i try to burn a dvd. the error is slightly different. the media i have now is dvd-r, and the error from ultraiso is "DVD -R/RW media requires setting mode page to use DAO writing". i am using disk at once, and for the h3ll of it, tried it on track at once. same error. i know the burner works because i can use cdburn/dvdburn from the 2003 resource kit to burn cds without issue. so my questions are... am i doing something wrong, or does ultraiso not support vista sp1 yet, or does ultraiso not support sata burners yet? thanks Posted by koawmfot on Mar. 26 2008,15:08

Sorry, we cannot reproduce this problem for TSSTcorpDVD+-RW TS-H653BD300 on both of our Vista 32/Vista 64 systems.
