Hello everyone! I was trying to figure out the minimum Nero 9 files and Nero 9 registry settings required for UltraISO to load the NeroAPI and use it for burning. Will someone pass that information along to me, please? Thanks! Joe Posted by xoben on Nov. 24 2008,20:20
It is a bit hard to finish this job.If you do not want to setup Nero 9 in full, it is recommanded to use built-in burning engine of UltraISO instead. Posted by ezrrr on Dec. 09 2008,12:06
Talking of which there are "stripped down versions" of Nero on the Net...Like "Nero Lite/Micro", they come as core or minimum number of files as Nero 6 used to have (before bloat), they're still trialware and require purchase of Nero license since files are from original Nero Software Package... So I'd like to ask won't there be a support (detection) for these kind of packages? Since they're not including illegal software and composed of "same files", why not? I quite don't understand where Ultraiso looks for Nero to find. AFAIK these packages install same or similar locations. Drop that, Registry addresses can't change, why not look there for Nero there so the detection of Nero+Lite packages become possible? If you ask me more and more people are using these kind of packages to save hundreds of Mb's gone by installing the current Nero 'Bloat'. Because most people still using/expecting the "basic" burning functionality out of Nero which can be found in these packages... In addition to that why not support many other free/commercial burners out there? To find "most" used, simply go download.com (or similar) and search giving download statistics. I believe some of them support API functionality for you to use (or whatever)... Anyway it will be great if you consider this... Thanks... |
