Forum: UltraISO Topic: Need Admin Privileges started by: Increvateur Posted by Increvateur on Dec. 22 2008,10:51
I loaded up an .iso image file into UltraISO and tried to burn it and got the error, "You need Admin privileges to run this operation." So I closed out UltraISO, right-clicked on the icon and selected, "Run as Administrator". Even though I do that, I still get the same error message. Not sure what else to do to get Admin privileges to UltraISO to get this .iso file to burn. The .iso file is just a 200MB CD image. Nothing special. Posted by xoben on Dec. 22 2008,20:10
Possible problem: No CD/DVD writer was found by UltraISO.Could you please provide detailed information about your recorder? Posted by Increvateur on Dec. 23 2008,03:26
I read your reply and took a closer look at my DVD drive and noticed that it had an exclamation point next to it in my Device Manager. I had just installed Norton Ghost 14 the other day and for some reason it messed up my driver for my DVD burner. So I uninstalled Norton Ghost just to be sure and lo and behold my DVD burner works fine again and I can burn with UltraISO once more. I didn't correlate admin privileges with my DVD burner driver being messed up so I appreciate the reply. ![]() Posted by soulburner on Dec. 20 2010,06:16
