A few years ago I made some iso images of audio CDs (using Ultra ISO). I did not know then that this was not the proper way to go. Anyhow, it appeared to work, but now I have "iso" files that are unmountable. Is there a way to extract the original audio data from the files now?

Tips:
1) Audio CD images cannot be saved as standard ISO format, it should be BIN/CUE, NRG, or other format
2) ISODrive cannot mount audio CD images. Please setup SoftDisc (http://www.ezbsystems.com/softdisc) and try again.

Thank you.

Perhaps I was unclear:

I thought I was saving an ISO image of an audio CD and an older version of UltraISO let me do it (or rather, let me think I was doing it). Now I have strange files with .iso extension and I do not know how to get the original audio files from them. In other words, what did UltraISo actually do when it told me it was creating an ISO file but it is impossible?

All versions of UltraISO do not allow saving audio CD images as standard ISO format.

If I understand what you mean, you are trying to say that none of Ultraiso vesrions has ever allowed it. No offence meant, but this statement of yours implies that I am either lying or stupid. Well, I am positive that UltraIso, version 6.something,  let me create "iso" files from audio CDs in summer 2003.

Actually, that point is, from my viewpoint, of secondary importance anyway. My original question was if I can recover the original audio files. I tried to analyse those "iso" files but it does not seem possible to get anything out of them.

Sorry, it is cofirmed that old versions before 6.5 did not check media type and treat audio CD's as data ones, so the ISO created is not a valid image, it is not possible to recovery audio files from them.
