Hi,
Does anyone know how Tbone2 was able to convert that winxp background from jpg to a decent 256 bmp. I tried with MSPAINT but got a terrible looking image (jpg -> 256bmp). Better yet does anyone know how the template easyboot back.bmp or logo.bmp were created (i.e. which image editor). Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi @maw7u
I had the same prob for days, I tried it with MA Paint, Photoshop etc...
Finally it worked with ACDSee, just open the jpg and convert it with the included editor to 265 colors and 8Bit, save it as Windows BMP. But prepare this file in advance with photoshop or something else in order to convert it from 800x600 to 640x480.

Thanks DerLoad.
EasyBoot works with .BMP images created by ACDSee and FireWorks, it should be 640x480 with 256 colors.
