I am attempting to create an unattended install of windows 2000 advanced server from an msdn subscription disk. The menu does not appear; however, it does boot from the disk. When the setup starts I get prompted to insert a prior version of windows and hit enter. The setup fails during the disk format phase. Has anyone attempted this before?
I have done the following:
- slip streamed service pack 4. - created an unattended.txt file with setupmgr.exe - renamed it winnt.sys and copied it to the I386\ directory.
I would like to included several other directories with software to install once the basis OS is installed.
Any help would be appreciated.
Regards,
AWSS

Changed SetupSourcePath in the Txtsetup.sif file From: SetupSourcePath = "\ENGLISH\WIN2000\ADV_SERV\" To: SetupSourcePath = "\"
The easyboot menu now appears and the setup works unattended.
My orginal post had a type for winnt.sif.
This software is great.
