I have Windows Vista Enterprise with SP1 and UltraISO 9.3.0.2612 installed and when i try to burn a ISO file from UltraISO i get the error message "Error setting write mode page". Burning CD/DVD using other software works fine.

Below are the log shown when i try to burn a CD:
- Media type CD-R
- Number of blocks in ISO image is 48804
- Preparing media
- Requesting burn at maximu speed
- Burning image in Disk-At-Once (DAO) mode
- Error setting write mode page

When i click the Burn button it's like UltraISO is not even trying to do anything because there is no activity at all and all of the lines shown above is shown in less then a second without any activity from the DVD burner.

I buy a new computer pretty often so i used UltraISO to burn CD/DVD on several computer using both Vista and XP without any problems in the past. Neither do i have any new software installed compared to me previous computer. This problem started with my current computer that is brand new so i believe the problem might have to do with the DVD burner and maybe it's not supported by UltraISO for some reason. The DVD burner is a "HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-U20N" and my Computer is a Thinkpad W500.

Are there any reason why this problem occur and any solution? If the drive is not supported are there any info if/when it will be supported by UltraISO?

Any help is appreciated since i been using UltraISO only to burn CD/DVD for a long time now and hopefully i will be able to use UltraISO on this computer again to burn CD/DVDs.

Thank you Gan for your detailed information.

This is a hardware-related problem, we will try to fix this issue at future versions.

After a upgrade to the latest Intel Matrix Storage Manager/SATA ACHI Controller driver i was able to burn a CD and a DVD without any problems using UltraISO. I tried before the upgrade to burn both CD/DVD's several times without success. I'm not sure if the driver upgrade is the reason why it's working now or not since i'm no expert in this area, but for some reason it seems to work fine now.
