Consequently, I'd like to suggest that UltraISO add the option of mounting supported images (or even, say, only ISO and ISZ for a start) as writable.

That's OK. It's just a suggestion, and probably one that is probably difficult to realise. As the developer, I understand that you have to decide whether it is worthwhile implementing such a feature, and I also understand if you decide not to do it.
