OK ... this is quite the program.
:o)
I've never paid any attention to these files before.
On the root of the CD are certain files, i.e.
for Windows XP Home Edition, win51ic
for Windows XP Professional, win51ip
etc.
What is win51?
Are the files different after slip-streaming the Service Packs?
Specifically I'm interested in the files present on the Media Center Edition after slip-streaming a Service Pack.

These files are checked by windows setup program, you will get a message like 'Please insert windows setup disc' if missing them.
After slip-streaming a Service Pack, these files do not change. But a new Service Pack related file will be created automatically.

Good!
This does clarify quite a few things for me.
Any further information appreciated.
Thank you!
