@abz2008

Wellcome to this forum@abz2008 :)

Eeee it’s difficult to fully understand what you are doing but it seems to be USB related in some way ???

You can use “Search” in the upper right corner and search for both “Newer” as “Older” topics and using different search-words
I searched for “Older” topics using ubuntu as search word and found this:
Read post nr; 16 HERE

To run setup win7 and windows xp from USB - read post nr; 2 HERE

Solution to bartpe: use my script easyboot-iso.script and launch ISO-file created by bartpe (yes you can launch ISO-file as it is).
Check “Run ISO from RAM” in script and then use easyboot-grub-iso.script to integrate it to any USB device.

Solution to hirens 10.0 – use my script easyboot-iso.script and push on separate button to integrate hiren into easyboot.
easyboot-grub-iso.script to integrate it to any USB device.

All above found by simple use of “Search”

Note: you must of course finalize the build in easyboot before you use easyboot-grub-iso.script

You find my script below in every post I write in this forum

Sorry I cannot following or understand what you are doing ???  :O

Note: it’s a major difference to launch setup of WinXP and Win7 from USB comparing to CD\DVD – but still possible
You have to read in given links (post nr; 4) to better understand the differences :O

However Hiren, ubuntu and bartpe can be launched using menu in easyboot as usual.

you must have iso
-xp
-seven
-ubuntu
-bartpe

using UltraIso
extract the all file of xp.iso to > C:\easyboot\disk1
extract the all file of win7.iso to > C:\easyboot\disk1
extract the all file of ubuntuX.iso to > C:\easyboot\disk1

if you using the BartPE,
extract Bartpe.iso to other FOLDER .like to > C:\X
then rename i386 of Extract result (Bartpe.iso) become up to you
like this ::
C:\x\i386
be
C:\x\BART

ok.

next ..open your XP.iso with ultra iso.
click bootable then "save boot file" like xp.bif "you can write direct xp.bin" and save to C:\easyboot\disk1\ezboot..

repeat the step above for linux and seven
and save with name like "w7.bin"
and save with name like "ubuntu.bin"

go back to easy boot menu...
create menu and fill the command like this ::

1. for winxp command          : run xp.bin
2. for win7 command          : run w7.bin
3 for ubuntu command       : "bootinfotable; run ubuntu.bin"
for bartpe using BCDW      :  i hope balder help this.....

Yes that’s correct :;):

Anyway…
Please take attention to the fact that it is a major difference to run EasyBoot from USB comparing to CD\DVD-unit :O
When you “move” to USB approach the “root” in EasyBoot (folder disk1) is lost and the ”new root” is the root of USB device – so it’s a big difference -  but it is possible

So let’s start the “USB-approach”.
As far as I can understand your build is working in “virtual test”.
But how and what method did you use to transfer EasyBoot-build (ISO-file) to USB?
Did you use my script “easyboot-usb.script” or how did you manage this?

Anyway…
Let’s see if we together can manage this to work correctly
First you need a third part-tool from HERE
Install the tool

Now to the EasyBoot menu

1. To launch WinXP - download pre-made floppy image from HERE
2. Put downloaded image as it is (it’s a compressed image) to folder ezboot and use menu command:  memdisk SETUPXP.IMG.GZ
3. Download pre-made floppy image for setup Vista or Win7 from HERE
4. Put downloaded image as it is (it’s a compressed image) to folder ezboot and use menu command:  memdisk SETUPNT6.IMG.GZ
5. To integrate UBUNTU: Download ubuntu.zip-file from HERE and put file (ubuntu.zip) in folder ezboot and use menu command in EasyBoot:  memdisk ubuntu.zip
6. Copy UBUNTU.ISO-file to the root in EasyBoot (the root in easyboot is folder disk1)
7. Make sure to rename ubuntu.iso to exactly:  UBUNTU.ISO
8. BartPE: use my script “easyboot-iso.script” and check “Run ISO from RAM” when integrating ISO created by BartPE (yes script can launch ISO-file as it is)
9. Hiren: use my script “easyboot-iso.script” and push separate button to integrate Hiren (use menu command given by script in EasyBoot menu).
10. You now have a menu in EasyBoot that are able to launch everything from USB – save changes to menu and close EasyBoot.
11. Launch my script “easyboot-grub-iso.script” and push “Help-button” in script.
12. Check “Joliet” in script and push on start-button “Create ISO-file” (this can take a while)
13. Still using script, have your USB device - USB stick or USB harddisk - connected to computer and push on "Make USB bootable and transfer ISO-build to USB" Note: script only accept one USB device at the time and USB device that only have one partition – this limit is due to safety reasons)
14. When script is finished with the USB-part (can take a while) you have option to test USB if it is bootable and also check that menu in EasyBoot works correctly for Hiren, ubuntu and bartpe (it doesn’t work for WinXP or Win-7 as those setup files and folders is still missing on the root of USB device).
15. Now launch “WinSetupFromUSB_0-2-3.exe” and set path to WinXP setup files followed by checking and setting path to “Vista/7 setup/PE/RecoveryISO” Note: For both WinXP as for Windows7 you are recommended to extract files and folders from ISO to separate folders and set path to these folders  in “WinSetupFromUSB_0-2-3.exe”
16. Press “GO” and let the “WinSetupFromUSB_0-2-3.exe” do it’s “things” (take a cup of tea or coffee – or whatever – as this procedure take some time). Attention! Do not use format section in this program as you already have a working USB with EasayBoot menu on USB device! We are only interested to transfer  setup-files for WinXP and Win-7 to USB device.

I used exactly this tutorial for my own USB stick (8GB stick) but I also have “slax”, ACTIVE-BOOT-DISK5, MSDART60, WIN-7_32_PE, WIN7_32_RECOVERY, WIN7_64_RECOVERY, WIN7PE (my own), YLMF (WinXP-clone) and a hell lot of floppy image software (Ghost, Acronis tools, partition magic-8, paragon software etcetera) and all from USB stick.
In fact I also used Ghost to create backup of this USB stick so it’s possible to transfer this to any USB stick\USB harddisk-unit I like.

Note: you find my collections of script below in every post I write in this forum.
