Hello friends,
Hope that someone could help me with this one:
I have a USB stick with a bootable Windows7PE on it. Is there a way to convert this USB into a disk image that can be stored on a DVD-ROM and loaded (booted) from the DVD-R using EZboot?

Test this:
1. Copy everything from USB stick to EasyBoot\disk1
2. Create menu and use command: run Vistaldr.bin
3. Check that you have Vistaldr.bin in folder ezboot (there should be such file there)
4. Create ISO and test.

Thank you very much Balder
This works, but some of the applications give write access error, simply because they were intended to be run from a writable media. But I have another problem, I want to put this win7pe on a DVD that also contains Windows 7 setup with similar folder names. Â So I need an alternative solution, perhaps saving the USBpe as disk image and using Gub4dos to map in into RAM? Can this be done with EZboot loading?

Note: we and especially all those brilliant developers out on internet – are all struggling and bending our minds to a working solution to make this work out – without any success - unfortunately I’m not consider myself to this brilliant people – but do my very best with my own resources 
However we can launch Vista\Win-7 ISO directly using grub but setup fails after basic initiating – but I do think this later on can be the right way to solve this gigantic issue.
You have to be patient while “brilliant” developers “out there” keep on “bending”

Hi Balder
I have been trying to use EasyBoot and when i finally get here made a lot of sense.I am trying to do XP,WinVista,Win7,Active@BootImage.Still needs few fine tuning,i'm getting there,i hope.I would like to know if its within this forum,if after i successfully made dvd,can i transfer it to my usb hard disk?Thanks for the help.

Basically answer is NO
But in theory, it might be possible to create a big ISO from your created DVD and then load and launch this big ISO as it is using “Firadisk” (run this big ISO from RAM).
However, as it takes much to long time to copy this big ISO to RAM before we can launch ISO, this is a highly theoretically discussion and probably not a issue for the moment to dig into. You need a hell lot of RAM to make it works as well – not that good idea for the moment.
So what are your options 
1. At present time there are problems to create setup for Vista and Win7 on same root (we cannot combine these two system on same setup-DVD-source - neither on USB device – same problem. You have to be patient until a solution pops up). This means you have to choose between Vista and Win7. But it is quite easy to get Vista or Win7 to run setup from USB.
2. You cannot run setup of WinXP from you created CD/DVD in same way from USB. But use USB is still possible with workarounds. Read post #25 HERE
As you can see, it’s a little bit more complicated but not impossible
