1) Click 'Options'->'Configuration', and choose '64K Color(16bit) screen mode. 2) You can now use 4bit/8bit/16bit/24bit .BMP images as logo and background
PS: Some .BMP images created by PhotoShop may have compatible problem, you may convert it to standard .BMP format first by ACDSee or Fireworks.
