What standard is being used when I create an image using Max(221)?

What will other CD image applications see the type as?

It is the ISO 9660 standard, and nearly all CD image applications can read this volume properly. If you find an exception, please let me known.

Tips for setting name length of ISO 9660 volume:
1) DOS compatible - DOS(8.3)
2) Windows 95, Linux & Unix compatible - Windows/Unix(31)
3) Windows 98/NT/2000/XP/2003 compatible - Max(221)
