I try to do a bootable CD with Windows 98/2000/XP, but don't works... I edit the win2k.bin (replaced the I386 for WIN2K) and the setupldr.bin and the file txtsetup.sif but didn't work. The message of error is:
Cannot boot from a CD - Code 5

What can i do to solve this problem ???

Please send me a better explanation to do it....

Thank you...

Anderson, in you message you say that you are using "WIN2K". This is 5 characters. You need to use 4  characters!

While "WIN2K" will not work, "WN2K" will. Try that and if it doesn't work we'll go over the entire process in more detail.

Let me know if this helps!

I did all you have said here: Edited w2sect.bin, renamed as w2kprof.bin, added to a menu.
Made a dir named W2KP, copied inside i386 dir from Win2k Prof, runned the w2k.bat provided by you,
edited the setupldr.bin (replaced all i386 with W2KP) and txtsetup.sif (SetupSourcePath = "\W2KP"),
and when I start the installation from DVD after checking the system, I get a message "Please insert Windows 2000 Proffesional files into Drive A:".:(  Does anyone have an ideea???

Thanks in advance.

OK... I have forgotten the files CDROM_IP.5 from WIN2K cd-rom... that was why it was asking for the files... I have repaired this and now I got a new message: "File: \nt5p\c_1252.nls Could not be loaded"

The file is in sub-dir i386.... what can I do, or where did I go wrong.

Missing files - Copy 'nt5p\i386\c_1252.nls' to 'nt5p\'.
