Can I use Ultra ISO to backup a DVD disk? I want to keep a backup of movie DVDs as image files. Backup should be exact bit by bit copy of original DVDs. And I should be able to write this copy on a new blank DVD disk if I happen to loose the original.

Will I need any software (other then UltraISO) for this? I am using Windows XP.

Will UltraISO help me with this:

I have .cif image file of a DTS encoded quad recording (4.0), that I'm trying to burn as an audio cd.  I installed Roxio7 and was able to burn the image to disc.  However when burning the image file to audio cd Roxio never gave the option to select disc-at-once, and it seems to have inserted a one-second gap between tracks.  This is not good since some of the tracks are supposed to flow from track to track seamlessly ie: no gaps.

I have access to Roxio7
Nero (newer version - not sure which one but I got it less than a year ago).

Any help?

Do you really need Nero installed, is there a file that i can just copy to the installation folder (UltraISO) something like aspi (wnaspi32.dll)

How can i write 1.50 GB of data in 1 singal CD(700 MB)? Becoz i have multiple OS CD which contain 2.00 GB of data and i also have some games CD's which shows 700MB of data when i see the properties of CD-ROM but it containing 2GB of data. The DIGIT magezine says that this types of CD's are created by UltraISO, but i unable to write not more than 700MB of data in 1 CD. I want to write my data upto 1GB.

Tips:
1) Start UltraISO
2) Add files and folders to the image area
3) Choose 'File'->'Simulated Save' from main menu, a dialogue will appear
4) Check 'Optimize', click 'Simulate'
5) UltraISO will caculate the final size of ISO image
6) If the recommanded media is 'CD-R', you can save the ISO and burn to a CD-R disc

whats the point of using ultraISO when u can do all this with NERO 6 !!!!!!!!!

With Ultra Iso you can pick ONE file out of the whole image and extract it without having to burn the whole image.
Or to check out the files inside the image.
There are a lot of things you can do with this cool tool  :;):
I myself use a combination, Nero, Softdisc which has ultra Iso and deamon tools internal.
Lately I'm testing the Cyberlink burning software, it is very good!!!
Untill now I haven't really seen competition for Nero but Cyberlink might just pull it of.
But like I said don't use one tool, always use a set that don't bite eachother.
