thanks Eureka.

yes, I already have the win51 files in  the root and the wxp1 and 2 dirs.

and yes, I used Nlite to shrink the disk, but what should I do to make it work what you're talking about?

Yeah, I know, lot's of questions.
I am building the new iso at the moment, let's try if this works.

Thanks alot Eureka.

BTW, the I386 directory didn't disappear this time, don't know what went wrong previously, but it's here with all the files in it.

Very nice, but if you would like to use nLitghted you need to following my suggestion down here.

Okay!

Step 1: Run wxp.bat with the original (full) i386-folder (you have already done this with success! So you may skip this now).

Step 2: When finished with step 1, delete original i386-folder completely and copy “nLighted” i386-folder to WXP1-folder (and/or WXP2-folder).

Step 3: Move or copy txtsetup.sif from this “nLighted” i386 folder to WXP1 (and/or WXP2-folder) witch hold boot-files. You need to do this because original txtsetup.sif that is copied (with help of wxp.bat) from original i386-folder, isn’t the same as the “nLighted” txtsetup.sif file. Major difference between these files! Don’t forget your winnt.sif file to make it unattended!

I just installed XP on vmware without any problems, and now I understand why it works: the files I used for the wxp.bat, are the nlited files, i described them to you as the wxp source files, to make it as easy as posible, but the files are the output of nlite.

it works like a charm, only a few bugs in my installation, like auto applying a theme file, should be done in the none-unattended install too.

but thank you so much for your explanation, now I can burn it to cd, and finally reinstall my pc without lots of work (yes it fits on a cd, 2 xp installations + 300 MB of extra apps (including office 2003).

Nice work from you.

Well I don’t want to be boastful, but I have three different XP: “standard system”, “normal light” and a “minilight” (last one reduced to a minimum for gambling) - and on same CD (699Mb), I also have BartPe (reatogo version). To make this you need to use “Optimize” when creating ISO in EasyBoot.

Anyway, nice picture (he, he, he) hope “uncle Bill” doesn’t se it....

Keep it up…

wow, that's pretty much in one cd.
I used the optimize function too, because the i386 dir is 270 mb, and I got 350 mb software on the disc, 2 * 270 = 540, + 350 = way too much :P this program is so cool.

and about that "hope that uncle bill doesn't see it" part, ah, what the ..., there's much more that I hope "uncle bill" doesn't see  :p

i'll do the last tests, and then the project is complete.

thanks for all your help.

Thanks for nice feedback and to end it up: Nobody can stop us from changing picture in WINNTBBU.DLL.
Here is what I’m using sometimes:  http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/10069275/

It’s used with text: “Injecting Windows”.

cool picture, I chose to use a linux pic on the boot menu, and on the setup bg, there's so much possible.

I also removed al the MS propaganda from the setup (the texts about how good windows is :p ), and it looks pretty clear.

I'm about to run the last couple of tests, and then it's cd burning time.

never having to fill in the XP key, never look for the office cd, and winamp and so much more installable with just a few clicks.
